Some of us intuitively know of the healing powers of nature. Research has proved us right. People report they feel more relaxed and their blood pressure levels drop after being exposed to natural elements and medical patients heal faster and experience less pain. Spending time with natural elements also has a positive impact on those dealing with depression and anxiety.
Gardening and/or craft projects are planned for the residents of care centers, assisted living or independent living apartments. Other activities may include singalongs, games and refreshments.
